Health minister aide’s nephew abducted
A nephew of Mosharraf Hossain, assistant personal secretary to the health minister, has reportedly been kidnapped.

Sabuj Rana, 18, went missing on Wednesday afternoon after he left his home in Belkuchi, Sirajganj district to attend a marriage in Sherpur in Bogra district with a friend.
Family says his mother received phone calls on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning demanding Tk 3 million. The caller also threatened to kill Sabuj if ransom was not paid.
Sabuj’s friend, Rakibul Islam, a nephew of Sherpur Upazila Awami League President Mokbul Hossain, was detained by police for questioning from the house in Sherpur where both the boys were supposed to be present.
One of Sabuj’s uncles said Sabuj and Rakib left for Rakib’s cousin’s home in Sherpur on Wednesday to attend his marriage.
Police in Sherpur said Rakib had been detained from his cousin’s home and would be handed over to police in Belkuchi. He has denied any involvement in his friend’s disappearance.
