Gold bars worth Tk 6.5 mn seized at Dhaka airport
Gold bars weighing over one kilogram has been seized from a passenger at the Shahjalal International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday.

Customs Intelligence Department chief Moinul Haque said the gold was with one Ziaur Rahman, who returned from Malaysia in a flight that landed in Dhaka around 12.30 am.
"He was searched because his movements seemed suspicious. Two gold bars weighing 1.33 kg were found in his luggage," said Haque.
According to the customs official, the estimated market value of the seized gold is Tk 6.5 million.
