Gold bars seized from passenger at Sylhet airport
Customs have seized 18 gold bars from a passenger at the Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Saturday.

The gold, weighing over 2 kg, was found on one Joynal Abedin, who returned from Dubai by a Biman Bangladesh flight, said Customs Assistant Commissioner Omar Mubin.
The estimated market value of the confiscated gold is around Tk 7.2 million, said the customs official.
"The gold was traced when Joynal Abedin's luggage was scanned. Seventeen mobile phones and 414 memory cards were also found in the luggage," said Mubin.
