People leaving for their village homes to spend the festival with the families can book tickets until July 24.

This time, one can purchase four tickets at the most -- a measure that aims at curbing a thriving black market in advance tickets, where tickets are sold at a very high price.

Bangladesh Railway will issue 18,000 tickets every day from Dhaka ahead of the Eid.

Tickets for travelling between July 24 and 28 can be purchased in advance during the July 20-24 period.
The sale will begin at 9am every day.
Return tickets from railway’s west zone will be available from July 27, Railway Minister Md Mazibul Hoque had announced at a press briefing earlier this month.
A total of 166 extra coaches will be added to the trains and a number of additional engines will run to handle the rush.
The railway ministry has cancelled the vacation of high-ranking railway officials during Eid and they would work during the holidays.
Like each year, five percent of total number of tickets will be reserved for the railway officials and staff and the VIPs.

BRTC tickets
Sale of advance tickets of BRTC buses will also start from Sunday.
BRTC authorities said at least 900 buses will run during Eid.
The advance tickets will be available at the counters at Motijheel, Gazipur, Joar Sahara, Uthli, Narayanganj, double-decker bus depot and Kalyanpur bus depot.
