Khan, a Nayek by rank, was brought to his village home at Faridpur’s Alfadanga Upazila in the early hours of Tuesday.

At least 14 people, including two policemen and a Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) trooper, were killed on Monday in clashes between Hifazat supporters and law keepers in Narayanganj.

Firoz Khan was buried at a graveyard in Kuchia in the morning.

Assistant Superintendent of Faridpur Police, Md Zakir Hossain said Khan was on duty at Narayanganj’s Kanchpur when he was attacked.

He has left behind a wife and two sons.

The unexpected demise has pushed the family’s future in uncertainty since Khan was their lone bread earner.
