Mother, daughter killed in Jessore

Jessore, July 22 (BDNEWS) – A housewife along with her 19-month-old daughter was beaten to death allegedly by her husband at Aladipur village under Bagharpara upzila in Jessore.
Police sources said, the murders might have taken place sometime on Wednesday night but it came to the light Thursday evening as their bodies were concealed after the killing.
Family sources said, husband Apurba Das had locked in an altercation with wife Rupa (19) over payment of loans and at one stage of their altercation, he struck his daughter Dipa with a stick killing her on the spot.
After that Apurba and his mother together brutally beat Rupa to death. They, later, dumped the bodies on the edge of the river Buri Bhairav. As the bodies surfaced Thursday, locals informed the police.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to the Jessore General Hospital for autopsy.
Police arrested Apurba and his mother in connection with the murders.
