Dhaka, July 18 (BDNEWS) – Popular Bangla film hero of the 60s Rahman passed away on Monday morning at a private hospital in the city.
On receipt of the news of his death a pal of gloom descended on his Gulshan residence. His friends, colleagues and wellwishers rushed to the house to console his bereaved family members.
His body was taken to FDC premises to allow the film personalities show their last respect to him. His namaj-e-janaza was also held there. A sombre environment prevailed there during the time.
Later his body was sent to his ancestral home in Dinajpur for burial.
Rahman, a prominent hero of Bangla filmdom in the 60s to 70s, began his career with his first cinemascope film named Uttaran.
At that time, Rahman was an idol of Bangla black and white film industry of the country.
