Huda’s ‘Trinamool BNP’ will wither away, says BNP’s Gayeshwar

BNP leader Gayeshwar Chandra Roy does not think much of Nazmul Huda’s new party. Using floral imagery, he has dubbed Huda a “faded politician”, saying his latest political venture, the ‘Trinamool BNP’, will wither away like him.

Falling back on sarcasm, Gayeshwar had this to say in his dismissal of Huda’s new venture, “He has floated a new party — calling it ‘Trinamool’ (grassroots) or ‘Chhinnamool’ (floating or rootless) or whatever.”

Gayeshwar was speaking to the media on Friday at the BNP headquarters.

“Even he (Huda) cannot be sure how many parties he has floated until now,” the BNP leader continued in his sarcastic tone.

Huda, a founder member of the BNP, claimed the Khaleda Zia-led party was in a “failed state” as he made the announcement regarding his latest party.

He said he was floating the party to “save” the BNP.

“We cannot let the BNP, loved by millions, to be obliterated only because of its leaders. The BNP must start afresh with a new name,” he reasoned.

Gayeshwar said the claim about the BNP being a “failed party” was baseless.
“The BNP cannot be destroyed,” he said.
He drew metaphorical comparisons with political parties and flowers, saying some flowers, like Huda’s new party, would fade away.
The maverick Huda, it may be recalled, floated two separate parties after his expulsion from the BNP.
“Some people are born to fade away while others are destined for greatness. His (Huda’s) latest move will lead to his fall,” Gayeshwar said.
