Authorities have readied 37 official vehicles for the incoming cabinet, with formal calls to prospective ministers scheduled for Tuesday morning.
Additional vehicles remain on standby and will be deployed immediately if required.
The interim government has completed all preparations for the swearing-in of the new administration at the South Plaza of the Parliament Building, marking a notable departure from the longstanding tradition of holding the ceremony at Bangabhaban.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer the oath of office to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, whose party secured an absolute majority in the election, along with members of his cabinet.
An official from the Cabinet Division told bdnews24.com that around 1,200 guests, including local and foreign dignitaries, have been invited, with distribution of invitation cards already completed.
Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani confirmed that all facilities entitled to cabinet ministers -- including vehicles, bodyguards, and official residences -- have been arranged.
Housing and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan added that 37 residences across Minto Road, Hare Road, Dhanmondi, and Gulshan are ready for the new ministers, state ministers, and deputy ministers.
The swearing-in ceremony will begin at 10am on Tuesday in the Oath Room of the Parliament Building.
MPs will also take a separate oath as members of the Constitutional Reform Council.
Following this, BNP MPs will elect the leader of the house, and the Cabinet Division will contact prospective ministers to invite them for the oath-taking.
President Shahabuddin will administer the cabinet oath at 4pm.
The change of venue marks the first swearing-in outside Bangabhaban since Bangladesh’s first government-in-exile -- the Mujibnagar government -- took its oath at Baidyanathtala in Meherpur on Apr 17, 1971.
Since independence, all government oaths, including that of the interim administration following the July Uprising in 2024, have taken place at Bangabhaban.
The gazette was published on Friday night for 297 election winners.
The BNP and its allies will form the government with 212 seats, while former ally the Jamaat-e-Islami will serve as the main opposition with 68 seats.
The remaining seats were won by other parties and independent candidates.
