Hilsa lovers feel the pinch as prices soar

Although June to October is the peak season for hilsa, the national fish’s prices remain sky-high. In Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar, hilsa is selling for between Tk 500 and Tk 3,000 per kg, depending on size. The steep prices have left many buyers frustrated.
