Netflix has announced that the second season of One Piece, the live-action adaptation of the iconic Japanese manga, will premiere on Mar 10, 2026.
According to The Hindu, the show, created by manga artist Eiichiro Oda, follows the adventures of Monkey D Luffy and his crew on their epic quest for the legendary treasure known as “One Piece”.
The instalment, titled “One Piece: Into the Grand Line”, will continue their voyage across perilous seas and mysterious lands.
The report said co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer Joe Tracz promised that “everything gets bigger in season two”.
“We are going to see giants and dinosaurs. We end up in the belly of a whale. Basically, our mantra for Season Two is, ‘scale it all up’,” he said.
Tracz noted that the new episodes will test the Straw Hats’ dreams and unity as each island in the Grand Line challenges them in unique ways.
The Economic Times, meanwhile, reported that the new season will chart the crew’s journey through Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island -- marking their transition into the Grand Line.
The report said it will also introduce fan-favourite character Tony Tony Chopper and feature Dr Kureha in a pivotal role connected to the Drum Island arc.
Netflix’s synopsis describes the season as “a high-seas pirate adventure” that brings “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet”.
Returning cast members include Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, and Taz Skylar, while new additions such as Mikaela Hoover, Joe Manganiello, and David Dastmalchian join as allies and adversaries.
The eight-episode season will drop all at once on Mar 10, with episodes teasing arcs like Big Trouble in Little Garden, Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom, and Whisky Business -- each promising a mix of wonder, danger, and high-seas camaraderie.
