Four Bangladeshis are among those injured in an Iranian drone strike targeting Kuwait’s main international airport.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait issued a media statement on Wednesday, confirming that the injured Bangladeshis have been admitted to the local Farwaniya Hospital.
The embassy added that it is closely monitoring their health status and treatment.
However, the embassy did not disclose the names or identities of the injured nationals.
The statement said Kuwait's airspace had recently come under multiple drone and missile attacks amid the ongoing regional crisis in West Asia.
On Wednesday, four Bangladeshis were injured in a drone strike at Kuwait International Airport.
Nationals of other countries were also among the casualties, while one person was killed, the embassy said.
The embassy urged Bangladeshi expatriates not to share photographs or videos of rocket or drone attacks on social media.
The notification warned that under Kuwaiti law, taking photos or recording videos of rocket and drone attacks, as well as the interception operations by defence forces during such emergencies, is a punishable offense.
The Bangladesh Embassy requested the diaspora to completely avoid posting any such visual content online.
Referring to reports of a blood shortage at Kuwait's Central Blood Bank following the casualties, the embassy called on Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood.
