Three tankers with jet fuel, diesel dock as Bangladesh moves to stabilise supply

One vessel carries 11,000 tonnes of jet fuel, while two others bring a combined 66,000 tonnes of diesel

Chittagong Port has received fresh shipments of jet fuel and diesel as Bangladesh moves to shore up energy supplies amid ongoing market pressure.

Three vessels carrying refined petroleum products docked at the port amid a supply strain triggered by conflict in the Middle East, the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) said Wednesday.

According to BPC, the ships entered the port waters on Tuesday morning and night.

The vessel “MT Great Princess”, carrying 11,000 tonnes of jet fuel from Singapore, reached the Dolphin Jetty, where unloading is currently under way.

Another vessel, “MT Lucia”, arrived at the outer anchorage on Tuesday night with 34,000 tonnes of refined diesel.

It will berth at Dolphin Jetty-5 on Wednesday afternoon.

A third tanker, “MT Torm Damini”, brought in 32,000 tonnes of diesel from Malaysia.

It is scheduled to berth at the Dolphin Jetty on Thursday, after which unloading will begin.

Authorities said the fresh arrivals are part of ongoing efforts to stabilise fuel supply amid global market disruptions.
