BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said Dhaka's diplomats have been sitting idle while countries like Indonesia and Turkey are sending representatives to address the crisis.
"The UN has been making statements. But our envoys are not going anywhere. The government has not even raised this issue at the UN," he told a discussion on Wednesday.
The UN fears that numbers could reach 300,000.
"The government is failing to shelter these refugees who have come here praying for that. The government has also failed to create diplomatic pressure on Myanmar, which should take back these people and let them live without fear. The government couldn’t do this."
