The chief justice-led full appeals bench gave the order on Wednesday, said the Election Commission's counsel Yasmin Khan.

Krishak Sramik Janata League chief Kader's elder brother Latif Siddique was elected from the constituency as an Awami League candidate during the 2014 national elections.

The seat fell vacant when Latif resigned from the Parliament in September 2015 after he lost his Cabinet berth and the party's membership following his anti-Hajj remarks.

Kader filed his nomination after the Election Commission announced the schedule for the Tangail-4 by-polls.

Election officials scrapped his nomination over loan default charges.

He appealed against the decision with the Election Commission and moved the High Court, but failed to get a verdict in his favour.

The by-polls were held, but Kader filed a petition with the Appellate Division, which was heard on Wednesday.
