The bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice JBM Hassan gave the order on Thursday after hearing a plea from former MP Annie seeking dismissal of the case.

The court in a rule has also asked the government and ACC to respond within four weeks why the case against the former MP should not be dismissed.

The anti-graft body had started the case with Ramna police against the former Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal president on Oct 9, 2014.

Charges were pressed against him in court on Jun 18, 2015.

The chargesheet said the BNP leader had withheld information of wealth worth over Tk 1.31 million in the statement he submitted to the Commission.

It said he also owned assets valued more than Tk 10.4 million beyond his known sources of income.
