The Awami League chief gave the call at a discussion in Dhaka marking the party’s 67th founding anniversary on Thursday.

“You, all the leaders and activists, must build your lives along with the organisation with honesty in the light of the Bangabandhu’s ideal,” she said.

“Honesty is the greatest power. It is the only thing that will give you the courage to speak loud and clear,” the prime minister said.
She hoped party leaders and worker would make sacrifices and sincerely strive for the country’s welfare.
Hasina spoke about the Awami League’s leading role in all major movements during Bangladesh’s struggle for independence.
The party had come into being at Rose Garden in Old Dhaka’s KM Das Lane in 1949. It led the Bengalis during the Liberation War in 1971.
