Annie, the party’s student affairs secretary, turned himself in and sought bail in nine cases against him.

The court heard the petitions and denied bail in two cases — one with Motijheel police under the Explosives Act and another for murder with Sutrapur police and kept its order pending for the rest seven.

In November 2013, an arson at Dhaka’s Sutrapur left two people dead during the BNP-led alliance’s agitation before the general elections. Police later filed a murder case, in which they accused Annie.

In the other case, the BNP leader is accused of orchestrating violence, attack on police and  arson in December 2014, said his counsel Mezbah Uddin.
