At a discussion of Jatiya Party, he demanded putting Milon’s killers on trial.
“Milon was murdered. I don’t know who killed him and whether the murderers were put on trial,” he claimed on Sunday.
JaSaD leader and Bangladesh Medical Association Joint Secretary General Milon was shot dead on Nov 27, 1990 near the TSC during the anti-Ershad movement.
Allegations have it that Ershad’s goons were behind the murder.
The death added fuel to the agitation that forced forced Ershad out in December.
Milon’s party JaSaD was with Ershad’s Jatiya Party several years ago as part of the Awami League-led coalition.
The Jatiya Party emerged as the main opposition in the 2014 general elections boycotted by the BNP.
Ershad has been made the prime minister’s special envoy.
“We want trial of Dr Milon’s murder. The Jatiya Party demands justice,” he told the discussion.
