Shajahan Khan had earlier announced a march to Khaleda Zia’s office.

Activists of Awami League affiliates like Sramik League, Mohila League and other organisations led by the minister, gathered near Gulshan 2 intersection before heading to the office on Monday.

They held a rally there. It was announced that a procession of trucks would be organised in the capital on Feb 18 and another procession from Motijheel to Shahid Minar on Feb 19.

Addressing the rally, Khan asked the government to remove Khaleda’s office from Gulshan within 24 hours.

“The people will take Khaleda Zia to the Kashimpur jail, if she is not arrested,” said the minister.

After the rally, the gathering marched to Khaleda Zia’s office.

The barricades set up at the street leading to the office caused them to stop there, where they are holding another rally and raising slogans against the blockade and shutdown.
