Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur approved Dudu’s remand on Wednesday, Dudu’s lawyer Joynal Abedin Mejbah told the reporters.
During the BNP-sponsored non-stop blockade Dudu was arrested from Mirpur on Jan 11 and was remanded for five days.
After completion of the remand police asked a seven-day fresh remand. His hearing took place in the afternoon. At the same time his defence submitted a bail plea.
The court rejected his bail plea and remanded him for two days, said Mejbah.
On Dec 2 Mirpur Police’s SI Mohammad Asaduzzaman filed a case against Dudu on charges of arson and vandalism at the capital’s Rokeya Sarani.
