Over 200 JCD men agitated in front of BNP headquarters at Naya Paltan in Dhaka on Tuesday demanding withdrawal of the expulsion order.

Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokan and Abu Sayeed have been rusticated from the BNP and Gazi Rezwanul Haque Riaz, who was the new panel's Joint Secretary, from JCD.

During the Tuesday protest, the three leaders were in front of the BNP office and even met party’s Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

Sayeed told reporters: “We’ve been expelled without giving any chance to defend ourselves. Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Annie and Sultan Salauddin Tuku misguided madam (party chief Khaleda Zia) to expel us for implementing Awami League agenda.”

Khokan said: “We have been subject to injustice. The expulsion hasn’t been done in accordance with the party constitution.”

However, Rizvi ruled out the arguments of those expelled.

He said: “The party expelled those in accordance with its constitution. The constitution has provision of such expulsion.”
