Speaking to reporters on Monday he alleged, government was prosecuting leaders and activists of his party in false cases and using its ‘agents’ to set off bombs near the party office.

One person was injured on Sunday when a crude bomb was exploded around 10 pm in front of the BNP’s Naya Paltan headquarters.

After a second explosion around 8.30 am on Monday, police restricted entry of leaders and activists at the party office.

"A process of reorganising the party is going on in an effort to intensify the movement to restore democracy in the country.

"But our activists are being arrested in false cases so that we cannot do that. Juba Dal president Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal has been arrested. Not only that, agents (of the government) are exploding bombs in front of the party office," said Mirza Fakhrul.

The BNP leader paid tribute at the party founder Ziaur Rahman's grave on Monday on the occasion of Juba Dal's founding anniversary.

Juba Dal is the youth affiliate of the BNP. Its president Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal along with 63 activists was arrested on Saturday.

"Alal is a former MP. His arrest has once again exposed the government's fascist character. They want to foil the ongoing movement by prosecuting us in false cases," added the BNP leader.
