AL calls joint meeting
The ruling Awami League has convened a joint meeting of its Dhaka metropolitan unit and associate front organisations on Saturday.

A party media release on Wednesday said the meeting would be held at the party chief's Dhanmondi office at 5pm.
Presidents and general secretaries of the Awami League's Dhaka City unit and affiliate bodies have been asked to attend.
The meeting has been scheduled after the party's Central Working Committee went into a huddle amid the BNP's threat to "toughen" its anti-government agitation after the Eid-ul-Fitr.
