“The bombing of Gaza Strip by the Israeli Army is the most heinous military assault we have witnessed in recent times. I protest and condemn this deadly military operation,” the BNP chairman said in a statement on Saturday.

More than a hundred Palestinians including more than 20 children have died during Israel’s four-day air assault.

Bangladesh has officially condemned the ongoing attacks on Friday.

“Peace will never return to the Middle East if Israel continues its aggression,” said the former prime minister.

“I urge the UN and the international community to ensure the safety of Palestinians and their homes by pressurising Israel into stopping its lethal and destructive military assault.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has already stated that his country will ‘resist international pressure’ and continue bombing Gaza, media have reported.

Khaleda said the Jewish state’s ‘domineering tactic’ has fuelled its most recent aggression.

“This mentality is behind the bloodshed of countless Palestinian women and children. They are being made to leave their homes just like in the past.”

Israel has ‘unleashed all its fury’ to destroy the Palestinian movement, claimed the BNP chief.

She also offered prayers for the Palestinians and the wounded children.
