Charge-sheet against BNP leaders
Dhaka police have pressed charges in court against BNP spokesperson Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and 28 others in a case of violence.

A charge-sheet in the case filed with Ramna police was submitted to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court on Thursday morning.
Court police’s Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahmudur Rahman said a provision of the Explosives Act had also been included in the charge-sheet.
Other senior BNP leaders including Moudud Ahmed, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Mirza Abbas, Abdullah Al Noman, Khandker Mahbub Hossain, its student front Chhatra Dal chief Abdul Quader Bhuiyan Jewel, general secretary Habibur Rashid Habib have been accused among others.
The case filed on Mar 2 last year initially accused 27 people.
SI Rahman said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s advisor Khandker Mahbub was named in the charge-sheet, although the case details did not accuse him.
