NBR asks for info on bank accounts of BNP leader Khoka’s wife, children
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) is collecting information on bank accounts of BNP Vice-Chairman Sadek Hossain Khoka’s wife and two children.

The NBR’s Tax Zone-5 recently sent letters to the banks operating in Bangladesh over the matter.
It sought information on the accounts of Khoka’s wife Ismat Ara, son Ishrak Hossain and daughter Sarika Sadek from July 1, 2008 onwards.
The banks were asked to provide information on all personal and joint accounts – current, savings, term deposits, FC, savings instruments, FDR, vaults, debit or credit – in their names.
The NBR generally asks for bank accounts of taxpayers to verify the information provided in their wealth statement.
