According to the US state department, Under Secretary for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman and Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque will co-chair the two-day dialogue.
The delegations will discuss a wide range of bilateral and regional issues, it said in a statement.
The dialogue will feature three working groups on development and governance, trade and investment, and security cooperation. Regional and international issues would also be discussed.
The State Department says the dialogue provides “the opportunity to expand the robust bilateral relationship between our two countries”.
Bangladesh, which stands on the junction of South and East Asia, plays a key role in linking these critical regions, it said.
“The United States welcomes the opportunity to use the Partnership Dialogue to further enhance our close ties”.
