“We have finalised the probe report. We will hand it to the minister as soon as he gives an appointment,” the committee's chief additional education secretary Sohrab Hossain told bdnews24.com on Sunday.
He said they made three specific suggestions to prevent leak of question papers, but did not go into details.
“We will recommend cutting short the time of exams,” said the education ministry official.
Hossain told earlier bdnews24.com they would recommend separate questions papers for each education board and two exams a day for students.
He had also said then they would suggest printing question papers on the day of the exam.
The probe panel, however, failed to trace anyone involved in the leaking of the papers.
“We have sought help of the law enforcers and intelligence agencies for that and they are working on it,” said Hossain.
The government had stopped several tests after the English second paper questions under Dhaka board on Apr 9 were allegedly leaked.
The probe was opened the next day and the panel was instructed to submit its findings within 15 days, which was later extended by the education ministry.
It is also alleged that mathematics, chemistry and physics question papers of this year’s HSC exams had been leaked, too.
Meanwhile, another probe body over the leak, headed by Dhaka board's Secretary Abdus Salam, handed in its findings to the board's chairman on May 18.
The head of Inter-Board Coordination Sub-Committee Taslima Begum had then told bdnews24.com they will take concrete steps once the Hossain-led probe's findings were available.
