A local BNP leader and 23 others have been accused in a case filed by the victims’ family over Saturday’s double murder in Gazipur’s Tongi.

Bodies of 32-year-old Md Shariful Islam Sharif and 24-year-old Jumman Mia were recovered from ditch on Sunday morning.
Police have arrested three people over the killings in the afternoon.
Sharif’s mother Yanoor Begum filed the case with the local police the same night, naming a local BNP leader as the prime suspect.
“The case accuses 24 people. Out of which, 12 persons including a BNP leader, have been named,” said Tongi police’s Sub Inspector Md Siddiqur Rahman.
He, however, did not disclose the names.
