A fire that broke out at a gas lighter factory at Dhaka's Ashulia have left at least 20 workers injured, some of them with severe burn.

Fire service units responded to the report of a fire at the Colour Match BD Ltd factory in Jirabo area around 4pm on Tuesday, said Ashulia Police Station OC Mohsanul Quader.
The burn victims, some of them with severe injuries, were sent to the local Women and Children Medical Centre and other nearby hospitals for treatment.
The hospital's Deputy General Director (Public Relations) Harun Ur Rashid said “Thirteen female burn victims were admitted to the hospital. Four or five of them have suffered 90 percent burns while the others 50 percent.”
After providing first aid the hospital transferred the victims to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s Burn Unit.
According to the OC, the fire broke out 4pm at a tin shed at the factory and quickly spread to two other sheds.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
