Bangladesh have bowed out of the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers after suffering a heavy 5–0 defeat to Chinese Taipei in Jordan.

Needing a win on Friday to stay in contention, the girls in red and green were undone by two early strikes that left them chasing the game, before Taipei added three more in the second half to seal a comprehensive victory.

Bangladesh had started their Group H campaign with a 1-1 draw against hosts Jordan, while Taipei had earlier stamped their authority with a dominant 6-1 win over the same side.

Taipei drew first blood in the sixth minute when Suravi Rani brought down an opponent inside the box, allowing Wu Kai Juan to convert calmly from the penalty spot.

The lead was doubled in the 34th minute as Zhong Yunqian slotted home from close range following a free-kick.

The second half followed a familiar pattern, with Taipei continuing to dictate play. Yang Yi-ai made it 3–0 with a curling effort in the 66th minute, before two stoppage-time goals piled on the misery for Bangladesh.

The result leaves Chinese Taipei firmly on course for the final round, while Bangladesh exit the qualifiers without a win.
