The singer-composer’s daughter Mum Minti told bdnews24.com on Monday that her father has been put under intensive care at the United Hospital.

“His condition worsened after the chemotherapy. He still has pain in his back and waist,” she said.

Quoting the doctors, she said it could not be said that her father was out of danger.

“But he is speaking to everyone. He is eating. It seems it will take more time for him to recover,” she added.

Mum has also urged his father’s fans not to conduct any fundraising by opening bank accounts with aliases.

She asked the people willing to provide financial help to send the money to Akhand’s bank accounts.

The accounts are:

162.101.137359  - at Dutch-Bangla Bank

SB 1476
– at Uttara Bank

"Eyi Neel Monihar", "Amay Deko Na" "Ritiniti Jani Na", "Age Jodi Jantam" and "Sumona" are some songs of this album that made him famous.
