Trading of new currency notes has increased in Dhaka’s Gulistan ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. Footpath vendors who buy old and torn notes have become busy selling new currency notes by the end of Ramadan. Muslims use the new notes as gifts for children on Eid day.
