New traffic lights installed, but not used

New traffic signal lights have been installed to regulate the traffic on Dhaka's roads, but they are not used. The lights work at some intersections, but they are turned off at others.

There are designated places for pedestrians to cross the road and red and green traffic signals to tell them when to go. But no one follows the signal. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
