DEMU trains left to rust in the wild

Bought from China for about Tk 6.5 billion in 2013 to transform short-distance rail travel, Bangladesh Railway's Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) trains fell into disrepair within a few years because of poor maintenance. Now, they sit abandoned amid overgrown vegetation at the repair shed of Kamalapur Railway Station.
