Waste-burning worsens pollution

Fallen leaves and litter are burnt at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan, although the rubbish is supposed to be dumped in designated places. The smoke billowing out of the pile of burning rubbish is a cause of annoyance to the visitors, besides heavily polluting the air.
