Warner Bros Discovery has confirmed that HBO Max will officially launch in Bangladesh next month, as part of a broader rollout across Asia.
The media giant revealed on Tuesday that the streaming platform will go live in Bangladesh on October 15, alongside Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and other regional markets.
This expansion follows successful launches in East Asia, Australia, and Europe.
Bangladeshi subscribers will gain access to HBO's marquee series, including House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, and The Penguin.
The lineup will also feature Max Originals, as well as Hollywood releases such as Superman, Sinners, and Final Destination: Bloodlines, according to American magazine The Hollywood Reporter.
For younger audiences, the service will offer beloved Cartoon Network series like Adventure Time and We Bare Bears, alongside classics such as Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes.
Additionally, the launch will introduce IT: Welcome to Derry, a prequel to Stephen King’s horror universe, featuring Bill Skarsgård returning as Pennywise.
The platform will also feature an upgraded interface with personalised profiles, curated content hubs, parental controls.
Downloads for offline viewing will be available as well.
“Following successful launches in Australia and Europe earlier this year, the global expansion of HBO Max continues to bring unparalleled entertainment to more fans across the world,” said JB Perrette, chief executive and president of global streaming and games at Warner Bros Discovery.
He added that the platform is expected to reach more than 100 markets by the end of 2025, with launches in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom scheduled for 2026.
