Mohiuddin Abdul Quader of Interport Maritime Ltd, a representative of the vessel’s owners, told bdnews24.com on Wednesday, “The three will return home from Thailand by air."
They are Deck Cadet Rayekh Fairooz, Engine Cadet Mushfikur Rahman and sailor Abu Bakar Siddiqui.
All have been receiving medical attention.
Cargo vessel MV Hope turned over sideways on Jul 4 in rough weather off the Phuket coast.
A few among the 17 sailors got into a life boat while the rest put on life jackets and jumped into the sea.
Nine of them have been rescued and bodies of two others recovered. Six others are still missing.
Five of those rescued were brought to Chittagong by German cargo ship MV Buxmoon on Sunday night.
Quader said Second Officer Mohammad Mobarak Hossain might return home on Friday.
He said bodies of Chief Officer Mahbub Morshed and Chief Engineer Kazi Saifuddin will be brought back after autopsy.
Meanwhile, four more bloated bodies surfaced in the Andaman Sea on Tuesday. The Thais are trying to recover and identify them.
Quader said they were not sure if these bodies were those of the missing crew of MV Hope. “No other vessel had fallen prey to disasters in that area except MV Hope. So chances are high that the bodies are those of our sailors.”
As the Thai authorities have called off the rescue operation, the ship management have requested the fishing trawlers through their local representatives to recover the bodies.
He said they have announced a reward of $1,000 for recovering each body.
The missing sailors are Captain Rajib Chandra Karmakar, Nezam Uddin, Sadim Ali, Mohammad Nasir, Ali Hossain, and Nasir Uddin.
