Milestone School and College has resumed regular academic activities 15 days after a deadly fighter jet crash on its campus in Uttara's Diabari.
On Wednesday, 12th-grade students under the college section returned to class, while 9th-grade students sat for their half-yearly exams and 10th-graders their pre-selection test.
“From 8:30am, classes and exams began for classes nine, 10, and 12 under the college section. Students are attending both classes and exams,” said Shah Bulbul, the school's spokesman.
On Aug 3, students from grades nine to 12 had returned to the campus, but no classes were held that day. Instead, they participated in a memorial and prayer service, remembering those killed in the crash and praying for the recovery of the injured.
On Jul 21, around noon, a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into a building of Milestone School, causing a fire.
At least 20 people -- most of them school children -- were killed that day. Later, the death toll rose to 34.
In recent days, nine injured students have returned home after receiving treatment at hospitals.
