ACC Deputy Director Jatan Kumar Roy filed the case with Shahbagh Police Station on Thursday, the graft watchdog’s spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattachariya said.

Other accused are National Housing Authority (NHA) members Md Azharul Haque, Munsur Alam and Matiar Rahman.

According to the case details, as a state minister in the BNP-led alliance government, Alamgir Kabir allotted a plot of government land to 'Dhaka Sangbadik Union Samabay Samiti Limited' at a nominal price, causing a loss of Tk 150 million to government’s exchequer.
Kabir recommended allotment of the 7-acre land in Dhaka’s Mirpur in 2006.
The NHA members misusing their power allocated the plot to the 'Samabay Samiti Limited' at a cost much less than the market price, the case details said.
