A Chinese jet with nine persons on board has made emergency landing at Agartala airport following engine trouble.

“The Gulfstream G650 jet of Beijing Capital Airlines which was on its way back from New Delhi to Beijing with a delegation of four businessmen and five crew members landed here at 11:30am today,” said Milind Ramteke, West Tripura district magistrate.
SD Barman, Director of Airport Authority of India (AAI) and in charge of Agartala airport said, “The chartered flight that landed here this morning will have to stay today and tomorrow.
“Another flight engineer with spare will come for its rescue.”
G650 jet is one of the latest aircraft that flies at more than 92 percent of the speed of sound for thousands of miles with fly-by-wire precision.
