The committee, formed at the High Court’s behest, has asked them to be present at the Narayanganj district deputy commissioner’s office by 10:30 am.
Deputy Commissioner Md Anisur Rahman told bdnews24.com on Friday night: “Families of all seven victims have been asked to come. If anyone is unable to do so, the probe team will go to them.”
The committee, headed by Public Administration Ministry Additional Secretary Md Shahjahan Ali Mollah, was formed on Wednesday.
Other members are Public Administration Ministry Deputy Secretaries Md Abdul Quayum Sarker and Abul Kashem Mohiuddin, Home Ministry Deputy Secretaries Md Shafiqur Rahman and Sayeed Mahmud Belal Haider and Law Ministry Deputy Secretaries Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Mizanur Rahman Khan.
The team on Thursday visited the place from where the seven people, including Narayanganj city councillor Nazrul Islam and lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarker, were abducted and the spot near the Shitalakhyya River where their bodies were found.
Mollah said they would talk to ‘everyone’ in the interest of the investigation.
A report on the progress of the probe would be submitted to the court within seven days, he said.
The seven people were abducted on April 27 and their bodies found three days later in the Shitalakhyya River.
The High Court ordered the government to probe the incident following allegations of RAB’s involvement in the crime.
