A former assistant judge of Feni court, identified as a leader of banned outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir, has been sent to jail after he surrendered.

Sheikh Omar Sharif, who was allegedly an organiser of the outfit in Chittagong, was on the run since 2010.
He sought bail after surrendering before the court of Chittagong's First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge on Sunday.
