The government has announced cash assistance for families of those who died in a fire at a packaging factory at Gazipur's Tongi.

State Minster for Labour and Employment Mujibul Haque Chunnu told bdnews24.com that the families will get Tk 200,000 each.
The fatal fire at the five-storey factory building of Tampaco Foils broke out early on Saturday after a boiler exploded.
So far, 26 people have died and 35 others are being treated in different hospitals.
"The families of dead workers will get Tk 200,000 each from Workers' Welfare Foundation," the minister said.
The Gazipur district administration will also give Tk 20,000 to each family while Tk 10,000 will be paid to those injured, Deputy Commissioner SM Alam told the media after the visiting the spot.
The Factory Inspection Department's chief said that they will arrange for medical treatment for those injured.
"Treatment of those injured will be arranged. The factory management will also have to clear the dues of the victims," Director General Syed Ahammed told bdnews24.com.
The fire service or the factory management is yet to comment on how the boiler exploded causing such a deadly fire.
The Gazipur district administration has formed a five-member body to start an investigation.
