A case has been filed against unidentified persons over the murder of Hindu ashram inmate Nityaranjan Pandey at Hemayetpur in Pabna.

The ashram’s General Secretary Jugal Kishor Ghosh filed the case at Sadar Police Station on Friday night.
Pabna Police Superintendent Alamgir Kabir told bdnews24.com on Saturday that no one had been arrested yet.
He said police were conducting raids to arrest the killers.
Pandey, 60, was hacked to death in front of Pabna Mental Hospital near Thakur Anukul Chandra Satsanga Paramtirtha Hemayetpurdham ashram on Friday morning.
Middle-East-based radical group Islamic State has reportedly claimed credit for the killing.
