The party is enforcing the first of the three days of strike it announced after a special tribunal awarded the death penalty to its chief Motiur Rahman Nizami, found guilty of committing war crimes during Bangladesh’s Liberation War.
Jamaat supporters threw two bombs at a police patrol car from a procession at the town’s PTI intersection Thursday morning, said Sadar Police OC Faizur Rahman.
