She has been shifted from her Kurigram home to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on Monday, said the hospital’s Resident Doctor SK Opu.
“Taramon Bibi has been kept at the Coronary Care Unit. She is better now.”
In January this year, she was admitted to Rangpur’s Combined Military Hospital with similar problems. She was released on Jan 31.
The award-winning freedom fighter, mother of a son and a daughter, lives at a village in Kurigram’s Rajibpur Upazila.
She had fought the 1971 Liberation War under Sector-11 led by Col Abu Taher.
Apart from being an aide to the freedom fighters and spying on the Pakistani forces, she took part in battles.
In 1973, the Bangladesh government awarded her with gallantry award ‘Bir Pratik’ for her contributions.
But, her whereabouts were unknown until she could be traced in 1995.
On Dec 19 the same year, the honour was conferred to her.
