Secondary school textbooks still at presses

With two weeks left until the end of the year, workers at various printing houses in Dhaka are still busy printing new secondary school textbooks. Although all the new books were supposed to reach students at the start of 2026, printing press workers think the delay at the start of printing means it will not be possible this time. They believe the printing of secondary school textbooks will take until February.

New book festival dims this year

Students usually collect new books on the first day of the year in a festive mood. But this year, many returned home empty-handed. They will need to wait until the end of January for their books. The delay comes after the interim government revised the curriculum following a change in power.
