Dust-filled air of Banani road

The Banani section of Airport Road in Dhaka becomes muddy after rains and the air is filled with dust when the day is dry amid work on the Dhaka Elevated Expressway along the road. Most of the day, the air looks grey or misty.

A layer of mist-like dust from the site of the elevated expressway project hangs over Banani, much to the dismay of commuters and pedestrians who use the section from the footbridge to Kakoli signal. Photo: Mahmud Zaman Ovi
